Kimbro Stephens, Esq.
A founding Member of Jurist Law Group, D. Kimbro Stephens serves as Managing Attorney and is an accredited attorney with the Veterans Administration, specializing in Veteran Benefit Planning, Medicaid Planning, Estate Planning and Asset Preservation for Seniors. Over the past four years, Mr. Stephens has focused his practice in qualifying Wartime Veterans and surviving spouses for the little known Veteran pension benefit commonly referred to as "Aid and Attendance."
A native of Conway, Arkansas, Mr. Stephens graduated from Harvard University in 1984, with a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude in Economics. In 1988, Mr. Stephens received his Juris Doctor degree with Honors from the University of Arkansas School of Law. Mr. Stephens received his accreditation with the Department of Veterans Affairs in 2012.
Prior to entering the field of Elder Law in 2011, Mr. Stephens worked for over 20 years in hospital administration and executive healthcare management with an emphasis in psychiatric and mental health services. As a healthcare executive, Mr. Stephens established systems for the delivery of medical services and oversaw the compliance of those services with governmental agencies. During his tenure as a healthcare attorney, he became acquainted with medical issues for the elderly and found a passion for helping families in times of crisis and need. Understanding the delivery of healthcare services has provided Mr. Stephens with a unique background for assisting seniors in the areas of long-term care and resource planning, especially VA and Medicaid Planning.
Shane Cox, Esq.
Shane Cox is a founding Member of Jurist Law Group. Shane’s practice encompasses a broad range of legal matters with particular emphasis in the areas of asset recovery, bankruptcy, and collections. Before joining Jurist Law Group, he worked at Mackie Wolf Zientz & Mann, P.C. where he focused his practice on judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, evictions, and bankruptcy law. He has also represented clients in other areas of the law including estate planning, intellectual property, contract disputes, and collection matters. Shane attended and graduated from the William H. Bowen School of Law while simultaneously working as a full time law clerk. Before entering law school, Shane worked in the mental health profession while attending college. He received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe where he graduated with honors. Shane is an active member of his church and participates in community-oriented events. He is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and Debtor-Creditor Bar of Central Arkansas. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Arkansas, U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Western and Northern Districts of Texas. Shane is also an adjunct professor at the William H. Bowen School of law.
